Associate Pastor Emeritus

Rich came to First Baptist as Associate Pastor for missions and discipleship in August of 2015. Previously, he and his wife, Susan, were IMB missionaries for 28 years in South America and the Middle East. He is a graduate of East Texas Baptist University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. For two decades while on the mission field he and Susan called First Baptist their home church and are delighted to now be a permanent part of this loving fellowship of believers. In his time off, Rich enjoys woodworking, wilderness hiking (but not camping!), and building stained glass windows. They have 3 children and 10 grandchildren, six of whom live in the Birmingham area.
