Sojourner

We'd like to introduce you to our Sojourner college ministry. Our hope is that this can be a help to you during your student days at the University. Through the Sojourner program, you can connect to a host family, get involved in our weekly discipleship group, receive a discount for our Wednesday night supper, and find opportunities for ministry at First Baptist Church. If you'd like to participate in this ministry, just sign up below by providing us with your contact information.

The College and Young Adult Ministry at FBC Birmingham exists to help students and young adults journey through many different life stages by providing important essential anchors of faith, community, and service. Whether you attend one of the area universities or are a young adult just getting started in the work force, we have something for you!

  • Our College and Young Adults Bible Study Group led by Adam Loudermilk and Matt Snow meets every Sunday morning at 9:00am in the College and Young Adult suite (Room 252). Come early for coffee and donuts!
  • Thursday evening discipleship, led by Dr. Rich Hutchens at an off-campus location near the Samford campus, is for those who are interested in going deeper. The study begins at 6:00pm and lasts no longer than an hour. A light meal is provided.
  • The Sojourner Ministry is our way of helping students at our area universities by becoming a vital link to the FBC family. They focus on meeting the student’s needs and helping them to find a place of service.
